Welcome to our October 2010 Nepal Photo gallery. All the photo collections are from Lars Nordmann, Julie Gibson, Wayne Eade, Helene Jessep and Dan Comanescu. It was two weeks trekking and tours starting from Kathmandu exploring old cities and temples. Then flying to Pokhara to commence our trekking in the Annapurna region. We started from the elevation of mere 800 mtr to our highest point Pun Hill at the height of 3210 mtr, possibly the most spectacular mountain scapes on Earth. When sun rises, it touches the snow-capped summits the Himalayan giants, Dhaulagiri (8,167m) and Annapurna (8,091m) along with a maze of other peaks.
 
After trekking we drove from Pokhara to Chitwan National Wildlife Camp. Where we spent two nights spotting wild animals and birds. Canoe ride in the river, elephant ride, nature walk and jungle drive are main attractions in the camp. Then we drove back to Kathmandu using the one and only highway connecting Nepal to outside world. It is a very scenic drive as well as an experience one will never forget.
