Day to Day Itinerary

 

This combination trip is very popular in Nepal as you will be able to experience and see so much of Nepal in two weeks time. It is a mixture of cultural tours, history of Nepal, exploring the foothills of Annapurna and Chitwan National park, where thousand of adventure seekers visit to spot the one horned Rhinos and Royal Bengal tiger.

 

 

firefoxDay .1 Arrival in Kathmandu –1310 m Transfer to Hotel – Briefing for Tours and Treks. In the evening Nepalese cultural dance with typical Nepalese dinner.
Day .2 Sights and sounds of Kathmandu in the morning– Old Durbar Square, Monestery and Temple, Old Palaces.


firefoxDay .3 Fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara – about one hour flight, where you will be able to see all the Himalayan range towards the northwest including Annapurnas Upon arrival we will meet our trekking staffs and we drive to our trekking starting point – Phedi. The drive is about one hour. The first hundred meter is uphill through a forest and stone stairs, then we gradually ascend towards Dampus -1650m passing small villages enroute. This day we trek about 3 hours with plenty of stop and interaction with the locals. From Dampus we can view magnificient Himalayan range including The Annapurnas and Machapuchare ( also known as Fishtail)

 

firefoxDay .4 Dampus to Landrung – 1650-1565m After breakfast we have a gradual uphill through forest and lots of Rhododendron trees. This day we will be trekking about five and half hours in total. At noon we will stop by a nice village for lunch. After lunch it is nice gradual walk to Landrung- where we will stay for the night. It is a small village perched on the side of the mountain. We can see the magnificent Annapurna South and Huinchuli towering high up in the sky. .

 

 

firefoxDay .5 Landrung to Gandrung – 1565-1939 m Today is half a day walk. We will have lunch and spent rest of the day here. After lunch we can go for village excursion take a shower or just relax and enjoy the view. Gandrung is habituated mainly by the Gurungs and Magars ethnic group – and most of the young men go for British Gurkha Army in the UK. You will also meet ex-Gurkhas in this village and most of them are running their own guest houses for tourist. It is a lovely village and the view is beautiful. .

 

 

 

firefoxDay .6 Gandrung to Tadapani – 1939-2721 m It is another nice walk in the forest. We slowly pace upwards towards Tadapani- which is situated at the top of the hill, and surrounded by huge Rhododendron trees. From here we can see Fish tail, Annapurna South and Huichuli range. It is about 4 to 5 hours walk, slow pace.

 


firefox Day.7 Tadapani to Ghorepani –2721-2874 m Longest day of the trek. The highlight of the day is reaching Deulari and see the whole range of Mt.Daulagiri (8167 mtr) Annapurnas, Nilgiri and many more Himalayan range. Ghorepani in Nepali means °Horse Water°. Many years ago it was a trade route to Tibet in the North and this place was a resting and drinking spot for Mules and Horses carrying goods. Now it is the main intersection for different trekking routes. Here one can get chance to meet other adventurers and share your story. .

 

 

firefox Day.8 Ghorepani to Trikedunga ( after sunrise excursion to Poon Hill) 3210-1700 m Poon Hill which is located in Annapurna region, is truly called as all the best of the Trekking in Nepal. The highest point of this trek is 3210 m and for many the highlight is an early morning pilgrimage to Poon Hill for spectacular sunrise over the Himalayas, where the mountains stretch as far as the eye can see. North towards Tibet, west towards the Daulagiri Himal, and East toward superb views of the Annapurnas. And the valley of the deepest gorge in the world. On this day one has to be easy on knees, as we descend all the way to Trikeydunga. Close by is a river and natural swim pool from a water fall.

firefox Day.9 Trikedunga to Pokhara via Nayapul – 1700 m – 800 m On our last day of trek we follow the Mardi Khola (River), heading west towards Nayapul, where we board on a bus and head back to Pokhara. The winding drive back to Pokhara is very scenic. In the afternoon one can go for a boat ride in the Phewa lake, hire a bicycle, do some shopping or just relax.

A rewarding trek that can be enjoyed by every lover of nature and beautiful landscape.  In short period of time you will explore and discover the beauty of this trip -  its nature, flora and fauna, people, landscape and its culture.

Mode of trekking: Tea house trek.
Views of Himalayas: Annapurnas, Manaslu Himal, Lamjung Himal, Daulagiri range and Nilgiri to name a few.


firefoxDay .10 Drive from Pokhara to Chitwan Jungle Safari Camp – 4 hours In Chitwan Jungle Safari Camp we spent two nights. Here we have all the activities: jungle walk, elephant ride. nature walk, canoe ride, village walk bird watching, tharu stick dance and many more.

Day.11 Chitwan Jungle Safari Camp – We spent here two nights with all the activities

The Royal Chitwan National Park, established in 1973, is one of the richest and most spectacular wildlife sanctuaries, situated 75 airfirefox miles south west of Kathmandu in tall grass land and magnificent forests. In this panorama jungle setting inside the 960 square km park is found one of the greatest wildlife in South East Asia. One horned Rhinos, several species of deer, sloth deer, wild boar, fresh water dolphins, bison, marsh muggers, leopard and crocodiles, over 450 species of birds, 67 different kinds of butterflies and the elusive nocturnal Royal Bengal Tiger. Nowadays the National Park can be easily visited on all levels of budget. A typical day inside the park includes early morning jungle walks, elephant rides, dugout canoe rides, jungle drives, sunset walks, elephant bathing and many others. The evening can be spent visiting a Tharu village, where you get a rare opportunity to witness a traditional Tharu dance. A fifth of the park is made up of the floodplains of the Narayani, Rapti and the Reu Rivers and is covered by dense tall Elephant grass interspersed with forests of silk cotton (Kapok), Acacia and Sisam trees.


firefoxDay .12 Drive back to Kathmandu- the only main highway of Nepal which connects with India for trade. It will also give you an unique experience to drive from Chitwan to Kathmandu and see Nepals country side. About 6 hours.

Day .14 Departure - Drive to Airport
